Two Arrivals on the Way

Greetings from Brooklyn!

Life’s been busy these days. As many of you know, The Fiend and the Forge has been released in the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and now…most recently in Germany. Thus far the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive and I’m gratified to hear that people have been enjoying Max’s latest adventure.

I’ve been working hard on The Maelstrom, trying to finish a draft by early summer because life is about to get a lot more exciting. I’m happy to announce that my wife and I are expecting a baby boy this June! It’s our first child and we’re thrilled at the idea of having a new Neff to share our Brooklyn flat. My sincere (desperate?!?) hope is that I’ll have a draft completed by the time he arrives. Illustrations and edits are doable with a newborn; finishing the draft that wraps up the series would be tricky. Fortunately, I’ve got a few months and the story well mapped out.

So back to writing for me. Here’s an ultrasound of our little guy from about two months ago – the experience is a first for us and we simply couldn’t be more amazed or grateful.
